The Law School of Tanzania Library is located at Plot No. 2005/2/1 off Sum Nujoma Road. The library has been in operations since the inception of the School in 2011 when the School moved to its Head Quarters. The library is an integral part of the academic programs which facilitates legal practical training, research, consultancy and community outreach functions of the Law School of Tanzania (LST). It has built its collections and stocking materials of both legal and professional knowledge. It also facilitates access to reading materials in form of on-line services and reference books, facilitates research and practical learning for all its users. Currently its collection amount to more than 10,000 + titles of various volumes both printed and electronic copies. The Library is subscribed on the online databases through the Consortium of Tanzania University & Research Libraries (COTUL) for international local journals articles for all our users. The library provides information and library services to the students, staff, its alumni and the surrounding community. The library is currently organized by subject area within the various stages of legal training namely:- a) Legal Writing and Drafting b) Trial Advocacy c) Civil Litigation d) Criminal Litigation e) Professional Ethics f) Conveyancing g) Commercial Transactions h) Legal Practice Management i) Probate and Administration The library also offers information services to library users within and outside the school community. Such amenities include: lending of library materials, document delivery services, traditional and electronic references services, Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) and Current Awareness Services (CAS). Other services include research, publication and consultancy, information literacy and computer training for library users and conference facilities.
